Beaver Creek, Colorado

The 13th Talons Challenge Weekend in Beaver Creek is the one day this year when the public gets to try their hand at tackling the famous 14-run challenge. The course is sure to keep all athletes on their toes with black diamond and double black diamond runs that drop over 26,000 vertical feet. There are 14 runs in all and anyone who completes them all will be put on the Talons Wall of Fame. Anyone who plans to take on the mountain should bring their A-game because the mountain yields to no one.

The lifts open at 8:30am and participants can take on the mountain at their own pace. After each run, a participant must have it punched off on their credential by a staff member and then get back on the lift for the next run. They'll probably want to be on the slopes all day, but after 12pm athletes may enjoy complimentary food and drink, commemorative gifts, and more fun at the Talons Après Party from 12-4pm.
