The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, named in honor of the former first lady Betty Ford in 1988, is a public garden situated in the Rocky Mountains. It is the highest garden in the United States containing a fully documented collection of an array of beautiful high elevation plants. It contains rock gardens, waterfalls, and breathtaking perennial beds.
Their mission is “To deepen understanding and promote conservation of alpine plants and fragile mountain environments.” with a vision “To be the premier alpine botanical garden in the world.” Offering educational programs, mountain hikes, tours, classes and exhibits are all part of the experience here.
Admission to the gardens is free for visitors and open year round with a peak flower season from June – August.
Guided Tours are available from 10:30 am – 11:30 am on the following days:
